Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The theme of religiosity plays a role of fundamental importance in the broader and more multifaceted framework of sociological reflection on man and on the latter's relationship with his own interiority and - consequently - with the external world (Berger, 1999; Pace, 2008) . The individual's religious actions and feelings orient and determine the ways in which connections are built with both the immanent and the transcendent universe (Mongardini and Ruini, 1994; McGuire, 2008). The discussion on religion today finds ample space in national and international sociological literature also due to the evident changes that have involved the new generations in their relationship with faith in general, therefore regardless of a specific religious belief (Garelli, 2016; Bichi and Bignardi 2016). A complex and multifaceted picture emerges, which leads to reconsidering the classic categories used until a few decades ago in the analysis and description of the forms of religiosity from an intergenerational perspective (Amaturo et al., 2019; Ruspini, 2019). In order to enter this dimension empirically, the first phase of analysis was dedicated to the reconstruction of the peculiar language that emerges from the 164 basic interviews of this research. The research question that guided the investigation was: net of the construction of the survey instrument and the conduct of the interviews, are there significant differences with respect to the lexicons used by the interviewees? But, above all, what are the concepts that characterize each sociodemographic category relating to the study?
