Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This book represents a crossroads between theory and practice in the educational field, where innovation and the improvement of educational services meet the reality of social and cultural contexts. Through an in-depth analysis of the connections between pedagogical research and extra-curricular educational services, the challenges and opportunities offered by the cooperation between a university research center and a social cooperative are explored. Starting from the premise that social innovation is essential to address emerging problems, the book offers an overview of the theoretical and practical bases that guide social and cultural animation, demonstrating how these practices can enrich the learning process. With a particular focus on Vedogiovane, a social cooperative that commissioned the research work, the text outlines the progress made in the field of non-formal education, offering an overview of the methodologies and strategies adopted to promote educational innovation. Intended for researchers, practitioners and policy makers, this book is an essential guide for those who wish to explore new ways to improve education and learning in extra-curricular contexts.
