Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The paper presents the first data from paleogenetic analysis (mitochondrial DNA) carried out on individuals from Longobard and local necropolises in present-day Piedmont. Longobard individuals on an archaeological and / or anthropological basis are found genetically similar and comparable to current groups in central and northern Europe.
