Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Pedagogist, n. in Palermo on 6th December 1886, m. in Rome on 10 July 1973. He was an elementary school teacher, a school inspector in Rome (1915) and then abroad, and finally an inspector at the Ministry of Education. In the decade 1922-33 he directed the didactic section of the magazine «Rights of the School», promoting the implementation of the 1923 programs; in 1945 he actively collaborated in the pedagogical and scholastic reorganization in Italy, as a member of the commission for the elaboration of the new elementary programs (Commentary on the new didactic programs for the elementary school, Turin 1948), inspired by the «activism» of the American CW Washburne .
