Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] What does it mean to "know" in the contemporary context? By comparing the different models of knowledge that have been proposed from the modern age to the present day, the insufficiency of the paradigm that has emerged with the birth of science emerges modern and which was strengthened with positivism, but which later showed the first cracks with the so-called crisis of foundations, from which the need to elaborate a new epistemological proposal that takes into account the complexity of reality arose. This complexity can be tackled with a new model of knowledge which, on the one hand, privileges a systemic approach - able to consider not only isolated phenomena, but also their relationships - and, on the other, can promote a perspective transdisciplinary that does not exclude specialization, while promoting dialogue between different disciplines, between sciences and other forms of culture.
