Français Langue Académique (FLA): dalla comprensione alla produzione attraverso la scrittura controllata

After having identified a shared definition of Français Langue Académique (FLA) in the area of Français Langue Entrangère (FLE), we seek to provide theoretical and methodological tips to develop reading and writing skills in FLA. The paper is composed of two chapters. The first, edited by Bona Cambiaghi, aims to present the main language teaching techniques for the development of reading skills, from the extensive to the intensive reading, as well as exercises meant to guide towards the discovery of the "canons" of the academic text – both from the lexical and the morpho-syntactic point of view. The second chapter, edited by Cristina Bosisio, aims to describe the transition from reading to writing skills in FLA thanks to exercises of "controlled writing". Only by making (and breaking) up, as well as (re)creating different text types and text genres we are allowed to master said canons of academic writing. The techniques presented and analyzed at the end will allow us to enlarge the topic from FLA to academic writing in general, thus highlighting how every consideration or language-specific intervention has positive effects in the area of a wider-scale project, that is language education.
