Abstract
On the basis of the surviving ancient exegesis on lyric poets – especially
Alcaeus, Archilochus and Anacreon –, this work pursues the aim of examining
the different genres of scholarship attested in the papyrological tradition and identifying the characteristics of its original readers and ‘users’
