Abstract
Starting from the complex philological studies which analyzed the binary work of Rustico di Filippo, this paper examines the language of the poet trying to verify the thesis according to which to the thematic separation is related a different language. What became known through the analysis of the phonetical, morphological and lexical phenomena is that the linguistic basis in both the courtly and the burlesque part is the same, while the distinctness is just stylistic, due to a sophisticated usage of the lexicon. The result is that the two parts of corpus are fully complementary instead of being detached.
