Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In today's debate on learning and teaching languages, characterized by multiple perspectives, this handbook presents the main theoretical and applied foundations of language teaching, a discipline interested in the development of all languages belonging to the individual linguistic repertoire (L1, L2, LS, Ln ). The volume opens up reconstructing its historical-epistemological framework and the continuous and intense links with the sciences of language, of whose contributions it uses to determine its own approaches and methods and define its own areas of relevance and analysis practices. In this interdisciplinary perspective, fundamental notions such as the acquisition of L1 and the acquisition / learning of L2, seen in the developmental phases and in the dynamics of interlingua, as well as the phonetic, grammatical, semantic and textual components are preliminarily focused. and pragmatic of linguistic competence, with a view to adequate (multiple) linguistic teaching. The volume then focuses on the objectives in the teaching of second and foreign languages, on curriculum design, on the variety of approaches, teaching methods and techniques, on the use of technologies for language education, on verification and evaluation operations and on certifications of language skills. In order to train the language teacher according to today's international and European protocols, the volume concludes with comments and comments on Italian provisions and European recommendations aimed at promoting shared linguistic teaching.
