Abstract

The essay analyzes some of the musical quotations contained in Teofilo Folengo’s Baldus, focusing, in particular, on matters concerning the technique and the performance practice. These pieces are studied across the four existing versions of the poem, showing the poet’s mastery and his careful use of the terminology
