Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Gasparo Gozzi, an admirer of Goldoni, although without sharing all his poetic choices, did not fail to take sides against the great rival of the Venetian lawyer, Pietro Chiari. Antiquarianist like all the Granelleschi academics, Count Gozzi argued with the Brescian first from the pages of the Gazzetta Veneto and then from those of the Osservatore. The accusations and attacks on the works of Chiari, however, intersect and overlap with those of his brother Carlo: the two accounts Gozzi in fact enter into the fight one in defense of the other. Main topics of the article: Prodrome of a literary enmity [news on Granelleschi and their anti-chiariana vocation]; Gasparo Gozzi, controversialist gazzettiere: The critical night of Chiari and the attacks of the Venetian Journal; From the Gazzetta to the Osservatore: new controversies with Chiari; The last aftermath of a controversy
