Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume aims, as the title suggests, to compare the philosophy and psychology of well-being. From this point of view, the subjective-objective distinction is particularly relevant, especially with regard to the philosophy of well-being: the main subjectivist theories (hedonism and desire-fulfillment theory) and objectivist theories (objective list theory and perfectionism) are presented. In the second part of the volume, two of the psychological theories of well-being attributable to the main families (hedonism and eudaimonism) and the measurement scales of both theories are presented. The conclusions are entrusted with observations on the relationships and connections between philosophical and psychological well-being.
