Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay examines the system of ascertaining the parentage of the Scandinavian legal systems (with particular reference to Sweden and Norway), highlighting the regulatory specificities (among others, the automatism in ascertaining maternity and the offense of seeking paternity out of the marriage, assumed as a duty by public institutions) and inspiring values, among which the one of truth stands out, understood as a correspondence between legal certainty and the biological reality of procreation.
