Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay considers the progress of studies on the relationship between Federico Borromeo and the figurative arts, with particular reference to the creation of the collection of paintings and the design of the spaces inside the Ambrosiana. It then opens some considerations on the Accademia del Disegno, associated by the cardinal to his Museum.
