Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The aim of this contribution is to always keep alive the attention on the stringent interconnection between risk factors and protective factors, present in those growth contexts characterized by parental difficulty and fragility. The concept of parental fragility, compared to other terms with a markedly clinical meaning, instead recalls the presence of psychological, social and educational difficulties and suffering in parents, capable of influencing the development trajectories of their children, evolving towards chronic forms of discomfort and maladjustment or, vice versa, changing positively through the strengthening of individual, relational and family resources and skills. Fragile, therefore, in the sense of weak, debilitated, weakened and sickly, and therefore subject to "breaking" or "snapping". But, also, in the sense of needy, demanding, incomplete and lacking the resources necessary to cope with the daily problems and obstacles of life.
