Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The family and its dynamics constitute "objects" of great interest to psychologists and psychotherapists, both clinically and for research. The literature is full of different methodologies and tools to help analyze and highlight the aspects of greatest interest in relation to the objective pursued. To the well-known quantitative self-applied questionnaires, which try to measure, for example, the degree of marital satisfaction or the areas to be changed, instruments with a qualitative aspect are added. They study marriage and family from a different perspective, and provide information that cannot be “collected” by quantitative tests. Qualitative tools move in different planes (verbal and symbolic-imaginary) so they better define relationship dynamics (Saita et al., 2010). Below we present a qualitative method of analysis of conjugal and family dynamics.
