Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The extensive contribution offers a reflection on Menghino Mezzani, a lover of Dante studies in Ravenna of the century. XIV, focusing in particular on the alleged exegetical activity that emerges, in the form of glosses, in the margins of a fourteenth-century manuscript with the Comedy now preserved in Austin in the United States. It demonstrates how the attribution of these glosses to Menghino is not acceptable; the sources of this exegetical material are studied, which is linked to the best tradition of comments in Latin and in the vernacular on Dante's masterpiece.
