Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] School and family are widely recognized as primary contexts within which the educational and growth process of the person is built and developed. Contexts that, due to the intrinsic relational value and the ethical intentionality of which they carry, can fully qualify as places within which the process of education for citizenship and democratic values can unfold. In the encounter and collaboration between these two realities, precious resources and potential are preserved, from which significant experiences of widespread parenting can arise, capable of promoting inclusion, care for the common good, commitment and responsibility towards the community and the territory in which they are located. root. This contribution therefore intends to deepen the role that families can assume, in continuity with the educational institution, in promoting active citizenship and shared commitment within the local community; families, by practicing parenting in a widespread way, thus become a fully resource for the community and witnesses of democratic values.
