Abstract

Individual connectivity enabled by Web 2.0, alongside with the possibility of being always in touch with one’s own relatives, friends and colleagues via SNS such as Facebook or Twitter, help to draw a network of relationships that overlaps and intersects with family relations, sometimes creating synergies, other times generating tensions and conflicts. The article analyzes the status of networked families, both to verify the ongoing transformations of inter and intra-generational bonds, and to test the theoretical paradigms for thinking about them.
