Abstract

The complex challenge of reconciling family and work, often addressed mainly from a female perspective, begins in recent times to be considered a matter for fathers too. Such shift in the issue of the family and work reconciliation is strictly related to the recent growing reflection on fathers practices transformation. This paper intends to discuss the family and work reconciliation from the male point of view, through the stories of 32 fathers employed in different organizational contexts, with different professional roles and family structures, to answer - at least in part - to the question "is the family-work balance a matter for men? ".
