Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The chapter focuses on the crucial generational shift from adolescence to adulthood and highlights the need to pay particular attention to the fact today between one situation (adolescence) and the other (adulthood). 'is a direct passage, but a dilated transition, which passes through the period of prolonged youth, or the long family of young adults. This phase represents today the "core" of the transition, a condition in which the ability of the generations to project themselves towards the future seems to "stagnate". To introduce and conclude the reflections on the long transition of young adults in the chapter there are two brief paragraphs on the family relationships of adolescents, in which the ground is prepared for the next phase, and on the new families, constituted on the "ashes" (not of the all off) of the long family.
