[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution focuses attention on the problems of the relationship between parents and teachers. School autonomy, if well understood, can favor the birth of a relationship of educational co-responsibility between the two institutions, capable of giving new strength and renewed vigor to the theme of participation. The regulatory principle of autonomy implies a development perspective in reference to which it is necessary to protect high levels of co-responsibility on the part of the subjects and interested parties. The co-responsibility also provides for a greater rooting of the scholastic institution in the local reality and the redefinition of the links between school, family and other territorial entities.
