Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] "Always connected" could be the slogan that briefly describes one of the distinctive features of today's society, especially with regard to the younger generations, particularly sensitive and open to the new ways of establishing "network" relationships and relationships. Certainly it is a non-neutral "technological revolution" that often provokes radical and opposite reactions and questions those with educational responsibilities. What risks and opportunities can the use of new technologies have for the life of families? How and why is it important to take up the challenge that the new online social spaces launch to the relationship between parents and children? Through the presentation of multidisciplinary reflections and the results emerged from research conducted in the sociological, pedagogical and psychological field, this book aims to investigate what it means for the family to face the set of technological changes that, since the advent of the Internet, affect the daily life of its members. In the context of these transformations, a specific look is turned to the world of social networks, whose wide diffusion, especially in the younger generations, challenges the specific relational and socio-educational care proper to the family.
