Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Today we are witnessing not only the change in the value attributed to married and family life, but also to the attempt to deprive the concept of the family of its classical meaning, reducing it to a mere container of bonds resulting from subjective choices. From marriage / family as a relational reality inspired by values and qualified as a public dimension, we are moving towards the spread of couple and parentage ties conceived as private choices. This tendency does not only concern the behavioral sphere: the costume seems to have an increasingly incisive influence on the legal systems that regulate social life. It is therefore urgent to wait for the elaboration of a new family culture, to re-propose, beyond ideological divisions, the contribution that the family as an institution derives for the harmonious growth of the person and for the positive structure of society.
