Abstract
Exercise professionals need to have extensive knowledge and technical skills in order to be safe and effective. In Italy and in most
of European and non-EU countries, individuals working in exercise
settings such health and fitness clubs, were not necessarily required to
have specialized education and training in exercise science. However,
survey research indicates that a bachelor’s degree in exercise science
and a professional certification are strong predictors of a professional’s
trainer knowledge. Aim of these preliminary study is to
compare some non-EU personal trainer certification.
