Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] During the pontificate of Innocent III, the papal curia envisioned itself as a creative laboratory for the development and approval of new forms of regular life. The contribution offers a comparative analysis of some case studies of regular experiences approved before the Lateran Council IV (1215), from which emerges not only the role of the pope and the curia as guarantor of orthodoxy but also as a space for circulation of models of religious life that influence the drafting and drafting of the normative texts at the base of the new approved experiences. In particular, we highlight the contribution offered by the Pope's collaborators, primarily the cardinals, as vectors of ideals and regular life forms.
