Abstract

Vercelli, Archivio Capitolare, 1 is a parchment 13th-century roll containing geometrical drawings which illustrate Euclides' Elementa. It is intended to be an aid to didactics of mathematics in a university classroom. Very few rolls of this kind survive from the Middle Ages, and it is unique for geometry.
