Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Objectives of the work: The intervention intends to discuss the hypothesis according to which, at the base of the failure of the integration of ethics in HTA, there is also and above all an epistemological problem Labor methodology: The research was conducted on Primary data banks (Medline-PubMed). Main contents of the work: As a multidisciplinary research modality, the HTA has welcomed, since its origins, the idea of the legitimacy / opportunity of an evaluation also of the ethical consequences related to the use of health technologies - like those clinical, economic, organizational, legal, etc. As evidence, it is sufficient to point out that in almost all the definitions produced over time by the various agencies, the HTA is described as a research method that must also incorporate ethical expertise. However, beyond this recognition, so to speak "formal", ethical evaluations have received little consideration in practice: ethics has not in fact had much space in HTA and only rarely have ethical analyzes found their place in the reports. The intervention intends to argue on the hypothesis that, at the base of the failure of the integration of ethics in HTA, there is also and above all an epistemological problem.
