Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay deals with the identity dynamics that the human subject unfolds in both political and economic "totalitarianization" processes. Through the comparison with the work "Il Rinoceronte" by E. Ionesco, the status of the subject involved in the "totalitarianization" is examined, both from a historical point of view (H. Arendt) and from a psychoanalytic point of view (J. Lacan and M. Recalcati), intertwining theoretical analysis with literary references (G. Orwell and W. Golding). What is at stake for the subject in such a dynamic? Why does the subject seem attracted by the disturbing possibility of "being a rhinoceros"?
