Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The ruling in question addresses, among others, the problem of the proof of individual causality with respect to a case of pleural mesothelioma which arose in a worker employed, in the 1980s, in the dismantling and assembly of furniture and railway vehicles. The motivation is characterized by an approach that eludes the complex scientific and legal issues that arise in ascertaining the causal link in criminal trials for exposure to asbestos.
