Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] What does it mean today for a scholar of humanities to expose and expose? It means comparing oneself with the context in which one is immersed. It means opening up to the world, communicating, verifying, proposing, learning, within the different expressive forms that constitute the terrain of one's disciplinary field: literature, art, archeology, philosophy. The acts of the Summer School "EXPOsizioni. Exhibiting and exposing oneself to the world from antiquity to the contemporary "promoted in 2015 by the Doctoral School in" Humanities. Tradition and contemporaneity ", on the occasion of the EXPO Milano 2015, gather the reports held by Catholic University professors and prestigious guests from Italian and European universities and research centers where each scholar, starting from scientific skills and from the point of in view of its specific disciplinary sector, it deals with a specific topic that allows us to highlight the reasons, the methods and the aims that, over the centuries, in geographical areas and in different situations, have characterized the common choice to expose or expose something to the world or someone.
