Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The binomial art-energy, a particularly "avant-garde" phenomenon today, begins to trace its revolutionary path starting from the early years of the twentieth century, in which artists of different nationalities, interests and styles create new works that show the innovative significance of the energy phenomenon . The first to celebrate technology in Italy are the Futurists who in the 1909 Manifesto sing the beauty of the car superior to the Nike of Samothrace, and enhance speed. Shortly thereafter, the contemporary Greek artist Takis (b. 1925) reveals an interest in electricity and carries out his research on energy as an intangible element; therefore in the following years he exhibited his telemagnetic sculptures, in which metal objects tied to a wire remain suspended by means of magnets; o The flying man, a human body suspended in the air thanks to the magnetic force and the Telelumieres, lamps in which electromagnets modify the intensity of the light.
