Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The article explores the dialogue between Khosrau, the king of Persia, and an-Nu'man Ibn al-Mungir, the Ghassanid ruler, highlighting the virtues and distinctive characteristics of the Arabs compared to other nations. An-Nu'man extols the strength, generosity, loyalty and linguistic wisdom of the Arabs, contrasting them with the material civilization of other cultures. The article also analyzes the role of memory, genealogy and virtues in the formation of Arab identity, highlighting how these elements have shaped Arab reason over time. Memory and language emerge as fundamental pillars of Arab culture and identity.
