Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Every family, in the course of its history, experiences situations of suffering and difficulty, not necessarily linked to pathological phenomena, but rather caused by critical events, due to the transition from one phase of the life cycle to another or from unexpected events, which lead to the family's abilities prove to be hard In order for the family to make the transition that leads it from the crisis to a new planning phase, a training effort is needed to bring out the competences already present in the family nucleus and waiting to be freed. For the family it is a question of activating a transformation process which, from a passive user of services and interventions conceived by others, makes it the active protagonist and co-author of the answers to one's needs. It is a question of seeing the family, not just through the description of its limits and its difficulties, but by highlighting its resources and its potential. The operator can stimulate the family in search of their own solutions, developing the empowerment of the people who compose it, rather than replacing them with assistance.
