Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Viticulture in Emilia-Romagna is one of the most varied in terms of traditions and pedo-climatic contexts. All this translates into an extraordinary ampelographic richness. A region never conquered by international cultivars, which has built the success of its 53,000 ha on local vines: among the 109 varieties of cultivable vines, the most widespread are indigenous (Trebbiano romagnolo and Sangiovese, the "Lambruschi", Ancellotta, Pignoletto, Croatina). There are also many minor local vines, more or less marginalized over time, but which are now arousing renewed interest. In this chapter we report 8, a small selection from a vast repertoire to be safeguarded and enhanced.
