Abstract

How is the desire for independence construed in our times?Technology reflects an image of man that has broken the shacklesof nature and overturned origin. This can give rise to an emancipated yet impersonal self, always in search of an Archimedean point outside Earth in order to create one’s ownconditions of existence.
