In the first chapters, after having illustrated the main stages of the integration process and the current structure of the European Union, with the principles that underlie it, the institutional framework and the methods of exercising the functions attributed to the institutions are punctually analyzed. policies. The following chapters focus on the sources, characteristics and effects of the Union legal order, on the competences of the Court of Justice and on the relations between the Union and the Italian legal system (with a specific paragraph dedicated to the recent and important Taricco case). The discussion concludes with an examination of the main institutional aspects of the Union's external action.
