Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In recent decades, several authors of graphic novels have decided to represent the Spanish civil war as the central theme of their works. In them, a common narrative thread is the need to rescue from oblivion the silenced stories of all the categories that suffered most from their consequences. In the representation of female characters, in particular, screenwriters seem to concentrate all their care, despite the fact that each one chooses different techniques. The purpose of this work is to analyze them to reflect on the different possibilities of interpretation of the role that women played in the historical period considered.
