Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Within the framework of Spanish domination in Europe, there is no doubt about the strategic and economic importance of the Italian territories, especially southern Italy, whose relevance was cultural, economic and defensive. In the case of Francisco de Quevedo, his stay in Italy (1613-1619) had a great impact on his life and consequently on his literary production. The various events that he participated in in Italy and in his personal relationship with the Duke of Osuna influenced his life and work. For this reason, starting in 1620, when he had definitively returned to Spain, he began to write works whose center was the "Italian question." Such works are: Letter from King Ferdinand the Catholic, Expired World, Great Annals of Fifteen Days, Lynx of Italy, The Time of All and Dream of Death.
