Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Jean-Luc Marion proposes to bring phenomenology to completion by introducing the concept of saturated phenomenon. The proposal is problematic to the extent that the phenomenological correlation is reversed in favor of the primacy of the given with respect to the constitutive possibilities of the subject.
The theme is investigated starting from the application, carried out by Marion himself, of the theory of the saturated phenomenon to the Eucharistic sacrament. Starting from a comparison with the theology of Hans Urs von Balthasar it can be recognized that the aporias of the saturated phenomenon do not so much concern an undue theological turning point, but are delineated starting from the lack of the symbolic aesthetic form proposed by the sacrament, that is a dramatic historical character, the only one capable of guaranteeing the value of personal finitude.
