Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume is based on the observation that healthcare personnel who have been trained to treat acute illnesses must now acquire skills to help patients to cure chronic diseases. This involves a profound revision of the role, care systems, approach, protocols, relationship and training. The decision to take the path of therapeutic education was initiated by the WHO and numerous studies have recognized its value and impact on the well-being of patients. The volume deals with the topic from the clinical, pedagogical and health care implementation point of view.
