Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Knowing the legal framework and the rules of law appears to be an indispensable aspect of the education of the new generations, exposed, in Italy more than elsewhere, to an erosion of legality, to civic individualism and to de-responsibility for the common good. However, legality cannot coincide with citizenship, which must instead be understood in a broad sense and as a full membership of the community, adherence to the rights and duties that follow. In citizenship there is a moral aspect that derives from the sense of the common good as a presupposition of civic-democratic coexistence.
