Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The influence of a new way of thinking about childhood, promoted in particular by the Convention on the Rights of Children and Adolescents (United Nations, 1989), has generated enormous changes at the planetary level within the Child and Family Welfare. Among the emerging innovative aspects, we also find the quality of the interventions as the best interest of those developing subjects who are users of socio-educational services. Entering the formation system of a social cooperative, La Grande Casa di Sesto San Giovanni, to learn about a history of organizational learning, allows us to grasp the dynamism of the dialogue between global flows of change in the sector of socio-educational services for vulnerable families and children and a practical experience rooted in the local area. Thematic Research Laboratories are spaces for the construction of knowledge, which through a reflective device, inspired by research and practice communities, promote processes of innovation and transformation, local theories and knowledge based on socio-educational work, shared learning. Thus the voices of competent professionals, often unheard, emerge and, instead, in this context they are assumed as valuable contributions in enriching and renewing a socio-educational and pedagogical culture that is the true patrimony of a third sector organization such as La Grande Casa .
