Abstract
The essay presents a reflection on moral education. It has to be understood as a path to bring to maturity the attitude to the search for the good, that is the ability to responsibly choose and build a moral community. This competence has to be cultivated since an early age and represents a task to which childcare services cannot escape: an ethical perspective in which the plan of norms and prohibitions (deontology) is subordinated to the teleological one. Speaking of moral education therefore means asking oneself about the human tension towards the "good life" that guides the formative work: individual and group, community and institutional.
