Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Rethinking Vatican II means taking up and developing its contents in a largely changed cultural, social and political context, but in a fully conciliar spirit: the 6th Forum of the Cultural Project on the theme "Forty years after the Council. Rethinking Vatican II of facing the current cultural and historical challenges "(Rome 3-4.12.2004) intended to contribute to this task through a reflection on the relationship between Church and culture, starting from" Gaudium et spes ". What emerges is the enduring relevance of the conciliar design, to be grasped in its ability to cross the new substantive questions arising from the crisis of modernity.
