Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay examines the passage of the Oedipus myth from the classical Greek context and from Sophocles' writing to Seneca's text, noting the differences relating to the organization of the plot and the configuration of the characters. In particular, he underlines the novelty of the character of Oedipus, an uncertain figure of considerable modernity that puts the status of the tragic hero in crisis. In parallel, the change of action is highlighted, crossed by moments of stasis, and more oriented to show the psychic dynamism of transformation. Finally, look at the reasons for choosing Massimo Castri, focused on the Latin text.
