Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Duride of Samos. historian and polygraph of the second half of the 4th century BC, far from being a modest storyteller, played an important role in the cultural climate of early Hellenism, the founding basis of all subsequent developments of the Late Hellenistic and Roman ages, also as regards the definition of the canons of each form artistic.
