Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Starting with the publication, in 2015, of unpublished documents on the last years of Francesco Fulvio Frugoni's life by Sabrina Minuzzi, greater clarity could be made about the uncertain biographical and editorial events of the prolific seventeenth-century writer. This note aims to add new data to this reconstruction, examining and contextualizing two Frugoni letters published in a miscellaneous epistolary in 1688 but neglected by the critics, which can help to better understand the troubled history that lies behind the publication of the the author's work-testament, namely the Dog of Diogenes, in two emblematic dates of his life, 1681 and 1686.
