Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay explores the different aspects of Nicola Pistelli's political commitment in his participation in the economic policy debate between 1954 and 1964. This is a crucial decade, characterized by great changes for the Italian economy and society, but also for the history of economic policy in our country. A decade between the announcement of the Vanoni Scheme at the Naples Congress in June 1954 and the end of the work of the first commission for Economic Planning with the launching of the Giolitti Plan 1965-1968. Years of intense growth, fueled by a consistent flow of public investment and the opening of European markets after the Treaty of Rome, which led to a state of virtual full employment.
