Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Starting from the works of Blanchard and Summers (1986) and, in particular, of Ball (1997, 1999, 2014), many authors have proposed different arguments aimed at explaining how a change in aggregate demand can have persistent (and permanent) effects on the level of GDP. This phenomenon is known as hysteresis.
